INCREASE – effective advaNCements towards uptake of photovoltaic (PV) integrated in buildingS & infrastructure – is a European project funded under Horizon Europe with a budget of EUR 10 million over 54 months. Running from 2023 to 2028, INCREASE gathers 22 stakeholders under the lead of the Belgian energy specialists Th!nk E.
The project focuses on innovations in integrated photovoltaics (IPV) system design, including enhancements in aesthetics, environmental impact, and fire resistance, as well as the development of new facade and roof concepts. Through pilot projects, rigorous testing, and user feedback, INCREASE seeks to drive widespread adoption of IPV systems, fostering market acceptance, cross-sector collaboration, and policy development across Europe.
The project’s scope fits the sought for more integration of renewable energies in buildings, aiming to advance the integration of photovoltaic (PV) systems in buildings and infrastructure by bringing together industry experts, manufacturers, researchers, and academics.
EBC is involved in the liaison with relevant policy and construction stakeholders, the SME-feedback on the innovation, the conduction of trainings and workshops and the overall dissemination and communication of the findings.
